FOunder Of insight2excellencE

I founded Insight2Excellence to offer thoughtful, compassionate coaching for neurodivergent people, particularly adults with ADHD who want to understand themselves better and live in ways that feel more sustainable and aligned.

For many of the people I work with, life has involved years of feeling misunderstood, overwhelmed or out of step with expectations that never quite fit. Insight2Excellence exists to create a different kind of space. One where difference is understood rather than pathologised, and where insight, self-compassion and practical support come together.

My work now centres on one-to-one ADHD and life coaching. I support people to make sense of how their minds work, to work with their energy rather than against it, and to build lives shaped around who they are rather than who they think they should be. Alongside this, I continue to work with organisations who want to develop more inclusive, neuro-affirming ways of working.

Insight2Excellence is about slowing things down enough to see clearly, reconnecting with what matters, and moving forward with greater self-trust.

Who I Am

I am a Coach with nearly 40 years of experience in social care, leadership, and organisational development, much of it spent alongside neurodivergent people and those with complex needs. That professional journey has been shaped and deepened by lived experience.

I was diagnosed with ADHD later in life, which helped me make sense of long-standing patterns of intensity, creativity, justice sensitivity and exhaustion. I also live with ME/CFS and visual impairment, which has profoundly influenced how I understand energy, limits and the importance of working compassionately with the body and nervous system. As a gay man, I also know what it is like to be treated as different and to have to find belonging from the inside out.

These experiences are not separate from my work. They shape how I listen, how I pace sessions, and how I support people to meet themselves with curiosity rather than judgement. I do not believe that people need fixing. I believe they need understanding, permission, and space to be who they already are.

People | Purpose | Passion
These three words sit at the heart of everything I do.

People, because every individual has inherent worth and deserves to be met with respect, care and curiosity, especially in a world that often misunderstands neurodivergent minds.
Purpose, because when people understand what matters to them and why, their choices begin to make sense and life feels less like a constant struggle.
Passion, because real change is fuelled not by pressure or perfectionism, but by interest, meaning and a sense of being alive.
These are not abstract ideas. They shape how I coach, how I hold space, and how I work alongside people to create change that feels human and lasting.

Our Core Values

What I Stand For and Believe In

I believe in the dignity, strength, and potential of every person. My work is guided by compassion, integrity, and authenticity, with a deep commitment to inclusion and social justice. Whether I am supporting individuals, teams, or organisations, my aim is to help people discover their own wisdom, overcome barriers, and move forward with confidence and clarity. I am here to walk alongside you, helping you create change that is meaningful and lasting.

Authenticity

Authenticity is at the heart of meaningful change. I show up as I truly am — honest, open, and human — and I invite the people I work with to do the same. This means exploring who you really are, what you value, and how you can live and lead in ways that match your true self. Authenticity isn’t about perfection or performance; it’s about wholeness, integrity, and the courage to live your truth.

Compassion

Compassion guides everything I do. I meet each person, team, or organisation with warmth, care, and respect, holding space for both struggles and strengths. I know from my own experiences how easy it is to feel unseen or misunderstood. My work is about helping people feel truly seen, valued, and supported — not just for what they achieve, but for who they are. Compassion is the thread that creates safety and trust, so real growth can happen.

Inclusion

Inclusion and social justice are not just ideas. They are daily practices. Having experienced exclusion and discrimination myself, I know how vital it is to create spaces where everyone feels they belong and can contribute. Inclusion isn’t about treating everyone the same; it’s about recognising, respecting, and celebrating difference. I work with others to embed practices that honour the dignity and potential of every person, because diversity strengthens teams, communities, and organisations.

Empowerment

Empowerment is at the core of my work. I don’t offer one-size-fits-all solutions. Instead, I help people uncover their own strengths, clarify their goals, and create their own paths forward. Whether with individuals, teams, or organisations, my aim is to nurture confidence, self-determination, and a sense of agency. Everyone deserves the chance to live a life of meaning, value, and purpose — shaped by their own choices, hopes, and worldview.
