This journey – along with decades of supporting older people, individuals with dementia, learning disabilities, and autism across statutory, private, and third-sector organisations – led me to create Insight2Excellence. Our mission extends far beyond my personal story with ADHD. We're committed to transforming workplaces through expert training, support, and mindfulness, with compassion and excellence at its heart.

Some describe ADHD as a superpower, igniting ingenuity and determination. Others see it as a curse, mired in disorganisation and overwhelm. For me, it's both: blazing trails one day, barely able to get out of bed the next. This duality has shaped my approach to building resilience in the workplace.

Take my Rejection Sensitivity (RS) and Justice Sensitivity (JS), two common ADHD traits. A manager's sharp word stings (RS), often sparking outrage if I see someone being mistreated (JS), then looping back as self-doubt. I've lived this cycle repeatedly, like when a boss once remarked, "Andy, no one punishes you better than you do," inadvertently nudging me into another spiral.

One memory stands out clearly: an autistic administrator facing dismissal. My Justice Sensitivity flared immediately. How could no one see her neurodivergence? I fought hard, secured her diagnosis, and saved her job – but at the cost of a strained relationship with my manager. That's the raw edge of ADHD. Yet it's taught me profound self-awareness and the power of mindfulness to pause rather than simply react.
